I think it helps that he reclassed
I imagine the UA teams (and Adidas for that matter) would have been after him for next summer. Team Durant isn't as hands-on as Team Loaded, but they also have a good relationship with Nike schools.
I wouldnt say it pushes VT above Maryland, but certainly isn't working against them which is a big positive
FWIW, I dont think VT and Maryland will be the final 2 standing for him
