Shooting

We don’t need a guy who can fill it up, we need guys who can fill it up, but in CMY’s system that is simply hitting the open shots that are generated. In 2021-22 the Hokies were 3rd in the nation in 3 point %. That was a top 25 team too, of course they got screwed in the ncaas, but this team is going to rival the shooting capabilities of that squad. Schutt, brown, burnham, jones, Steiner, young are all guys who will be shooting around or above 36% while Poteat and miller will likely hover at 33-34%. This team will be able to shoot, and more importantly, hit their open looks.
