I think a fair amount of frustration fans are feeling is the realization

that the players on our teams are not fans of the program at all - or at the very least, nowhere near the level we are. But that has always been the case, they just didn't have the option to do anything about it and certainly didn't have the opportunity to make money from it (at least not openly). I agree it is frustrating to care about a player and have good feelings about them, only for them to bolt for a better opportunity but to woe is me attitude fans are starting to have about it has gone overboard. A fan revolt or consumer union won't work. I may not like the roster churn but if VT is playing basketball or football on TV, I am watching. Needing a roster card to figure out who the players are won't change that. And in the rare instance we have career guys like Cattoor going forward, hopefully they will be valued and appreciated all the more for it.
