I think key is less recruiting fit misses and more NIL $ to keep guy like

Bamisle here a 2nd year. Need more portal takes that have 2+ years eligibility remaining - Lynn Kidd, Tyler Nickel good. Beran/Long one and done Portal guys need to be avoided by less roster attrition. Needed starters to be Cattoor Pedulla Rice Basile Kidd instead we have Beran and Collins as starters. Main issue with Beran is took too long for MY to integrate him in team system effectively. Collins should be 1st G off bench instead it is true frosh. Without Rice too much PT and pressure on Pedulla. Took staff too long to adjust and use Cattoor and Collins at point and to bring Ball up court to give Pedulla relief avoid TOs with press. It is what it is but solution may be fewer true frosh recruits and no one and done guys. Solution may be to focus on Portal guys with 2-4 years of remaining eligibility. Hopefully we have Kidd, Pedulla and Poteat back. We know we lose Cattoor, Beran, Long and already lost Rice. So we have minimum 4 schollys available 2 spoken for by true frosh signers. So we have minimum 2 spots to fill from Portal. Returning likely starters: Kidd, Pedulla, Collins, and Nickell. So we need an experienced 4 to fill Beran/Long void or is frosh from Gainsville good enough to start at 4? Anyhow need a 4 with experience. If all return set at 5 with Kidd, Poteet, Wessler. Pedulla - 1 Nickell - 3 Collins - 2 Kidd - 5 Portal -4 Recsteiner -1 Jayden Young -2 Camden -3 Poteet- 5 Wessler-5 Frosh - 4 Frosh - 2/3 Assuming Camden, Poteet and Wessler return what do you use other roster spot for? A Portal PG or another PF or a versatile G who can play at 1,2,3?

NIL is not the end-all, be-all, you're right. I agree. It helps, though.

Good article. Kind of depressing on the men’s side, though.

I’m expecting only to have 4-5 of the current team here next year

You won't get a starting caliber PG if Pedulla is here.
