Maybe it’s just me, but I really don’t care about recruiting connections

At least not as much as in the past. The portal really shifts the focus towards finding proven fits who have already cleared that first year of the college transition. That’s one strategy anyway. Just look at how we got two of our recent targets after a brief pit stop at Memphis and UNC. I know HS recruiting will always be important, just not as much as in the past.
