Assuming we make the NIT this year, a six year stretch with 2 NCAAs, 3 NITs, and a conference tournament championship would literally rival almost any six year stretch in VT basketball history (this is GC's point a lot of the time, I think). No NCAA wins is really the only argument against it. That said, as I posted below, we have bigger problems across the athletic department. It's just not a modern P4 AD enterprise right now. Maybe things are in the process of being overhauled right now, I don't know. But being mediocre to terrible at the 4 biggest sports simultaneously is just a bonkers failure, especially if you're not going to be a legitimate national title contender in at least 1 other sport. Like, Boston College is bad at the big 4 sports, worse than us really, but I think their lacrosse program(s) are at least national title contenders.
