That's a bad spot Avdalas is in, and a bad pass from Hansberry. Both of them have to be better in that situation. That was the first domino. But even still, they had free throws at the end and missed. If you don't do either of those two things, you likely win the game. It's like the Stanford game, except in seven seconds instead of two minutes. VT just didn't execute in the final minutes. And you can critique how VT defended the final possession. I think you're picking nits at that point. If you turn the ball over in the backcourt and miss two front ends of one-and-ones, you're asking to lose at that rate. Have to close it out when you had a chance.
