Great question.
CMY is going to put the players on the floor he thinks give him the best chance to win and it appears Pasha hasn’t given him that confidence yet in practice. The question is what is keeping him off the floor. Is it defense, or turnover prone, or just hasn’t picked CMY’s system, or a combination of these factors? It’s hard to say because he really hasn’t been on the floor long enough to even observe yet. He was recruited as a point guard but then Avdalas entered the picture, and Hammond, who already had a year up on Pasha playing for CMY, has played really well. Pasha could play off the ball too (but I don’t know that is best suited to his ability in this offense), and again, both Schutt and Bedford have played very well at that position, so Pasha is like the 3rd in line at that position as well. But Pasha is talented enough that if he earns CMY’s confidence then CMY would carve out minutes for him somewhere. Often we’ve seen players enter CMY’s rotation later in the season so nothing is set in stone. Also, an injury to any of our 1 through 3 players could hasten that.

He looks lost out there. It may take him a while to figure this out.
