That was also my first game at VT, I was 9 years old at the time.
My VT alum dad took me and is when I fell in love with VT basketball. I remember sitting on the concrete watching us pound Alabama. After that he took me to the Vanderbilt game next that we won and IIRC Vandy was ranked 9th at the time.
So, getting ready to start my 63rd year as an avid VT basketball fan.
