His interview at ACC media day he sounded checked out with his roster

Field of 68 asked him about the changes in CBB and he mentioned how he was glad the Covid year would be done for next year, and said this team was being built to compete in 2026. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for being competitive this year, although not surprised as it was gonna be tough to replace two of the best defenders in CBB and improve offensively as well (Jalen Warley and Buchanan starting at the 5 lol)
