We are not in a position of financial strength in basketball. We are also a tough sell for players and coaches - always have been. I'm glad the ACC has been so successful in this year's NCAAT as that is our lifeline to basketball relevance - i.e. our ACC membership and that might go the way of the Dodo as well. But look at CMY's record - no losing seasons, NCAA or NIT from year 2 to present and an ACCT title - you want to part ways with that considering our overall record in basketball through the decades? Not wise, pragmatic or realistic.
