That doesn't mean it isn't done...as a pure guess, I would put it at around 10% probably go that route. It typically would work if the HC is more of a manager than a philosopher. Which is probably true of Forbes. It puts a lot of strain on your assistants and can leave game-to-game duties vulnerable to burn out late in the year. If you told me out of 30 games, I was responsible for 10 games and of those 10 games 6 of them were against 3 teams, then I would be very happy prepping offense and defense for 5 teams, and having 2 weeks typically to do so. As opposed to needing to watch at least 3 and closer to 5 games for all 30 of the games you play...and recruit...and develop practice plans...and manage players Its...a lot But if a HC takes over full control of practice plans, managing all 13 players and takes a larger role in recruiting it can be done. Just not how any program I've ever been a part of has done it and not something I would suggest or do myself
