no way we should toss this season in the trash to prep for next year.. that
is not how sports work.
this year's team is this year's team. They should play and be coached to maximize their chances of winning this year.
Trying to "develop a roster for next season" never works considering the roster turnover that is going to happen naturally (graduations, incoming freshment) and may happen with the transfers (in and out).
