He just completed his 3rd year as Orioles main TV play by play guy. At first he was just trying too hard to fit in pop culture references and Star Wars and stuff like that. Even when I occasionally enjoyed his references I still felt like it was just a bit too forced. But he has cut back on that a bit. He has a fantastic rapport with Ben McDonald who is often the color guy, and a very good rapport with Jim Palmer who does color a lot of the time too. He is a great announcer who is completely on top of what's happening, and he's gotten better each year. Of course it doesn't hurt that the Orioles have gotten better each year he has been on the job, it's always more enjoyable to watch a winning team broadcast. I've heard him do college football, but I don't think I've heard him to college basketball. I'll keep an ear out for him.
