NEW VT Baseball Jersey in 2026
Looks like the players are doing media for the season. Someone's instagram story had a shot of one of the players in a new jersey that I do not recognize. It appears to be an orange jersey. I know the black uniforms have been retired. Barring any other uniforms have been dropped, that should leave us with five uniform options:
- White w/ classic Orioles style cap
- pinstripes w/ TV cap
- Grey in the style of traditional wool uniforms
- Maroon jersey w/ grey pants and TV hat
- (NEW) Orange jersey???

Why does the team wear the high stirrups/socks? It seems they're in the 1% of teams in CBB with this look. Is this is a coach mandate, a team decision, a Nike decision? I personalll dislike the look so I'm waiting for the day it's retired.

I love the stirrups look honestly. It looks athletic and makes the unique style of each uniform really pop. Szefc has an admiration for the classic traditions of baseball. I believe he grew up in NY watching the Yankees (hence the pinstripes uniform). It's always funny when a Hokie goes to a summer team or the minor leagues and you see them in full-length pants for the first time. I don't have 100% confirmation on this being a Szefc choice, but I seem to remember someone telling me that once.
