Lots of negatives in the UVA series, but the 13-0 HR discrepancy is crazy..
Prior to 2024 in the Szefc era, we never had an ACC regular season series home run differential worse than minus 4.
Just this year prior to the UVA series, we had differentials of minus 8 versus Duke (2 HR vs. 10 HR) and then minus 7 versus Wake Forest (1 HR vs. 8 HR).
This year's UVA series represents just the 5th time in 62 ACC regular season series since 2018 where we logged no HR's (2018 NC State; 2019 Miami; 2021 Virginia; 2021 Notre Dame) and just the 3rd time we gave up 10+ HR's to an opponent (2023 Miami with 10; 2024 Duke with 10). Combine that together in the same series and it translated to a minus 13 differential.
