We don't have that problem. We have a problem assembling enough of the right kind of talent to beat teams that have assembled the right kind of talent. This pitching staff was not really regional worthy, they just are not that good. Yet they were able to do enough to win the ACC and the Regional. Now overachieving to win those was big. We have hitters who can crush it against fastball pitchers but their skill does not carry over to low or good movement on the pitches. And to win at this level you have to hit all kinds of pitches as there are a handful of pitchers who can throw everything when it gets to this level. Even Cross was handcuffed. That doesn't mean he isn't a 1st rounder, just that there is work he needs to do to become a complete hitter. There are very few hitters or pitchers coming out of college any year.
