Of all the acclaim and notoriety of how nice “The Dish” is, a camera shot showed that the visiting team’s bullpen is about 5 ft. away from the right field foul line with no protective barrier. Talk about crappy design. I’m sure the home team bullpen is not like that. Is that by design to make it more uncomfortable on the away team? Is this prevalent in college baseball? I can understand the away locker room not being equal and stuff like that, But the bullpen design could compromise player safety. EDIT: In fairness, looks like UVA’s bullpen is open too and along the 3rd base line.
