Worst Case
Worst case scenario this team leaves Chapel Hill .500 in the ACC. Best case they’re 2 games over .500 with 6 games left. It looks like we’re not the only ones struggling in conference play. Ours is more magnified because of our start to the season.
This season is far from over. Baseball is a tough game. You can say be mentally tough all you want, but the bottom line is, it’s not that easy. Have they played well the last month? No. Does that mean the season is over? No. Relax and let’s try to support and get back to winning ways.
There’s a reason it takes players so long to go from 2,999 hits to 3,000. Almost everyone of them slumps. Same thing in the HR race when guys are chasing numbers. Are they not mentally tough? I don’t think so. They start pressing.
