So who are we losing this year to graduation or pros? I have

Hurley, Arguelles, Bryant Hurney, Higgins, and Cannizzaro. I think Hack is draft eligible and Jones too, but both would be well served to come back. Hack needs to prove that 2022 wasn't a fluke, and Jones is just now starting to become a star player. He needs a full season to prove that he can be "that guy", IMO. DeMartini will be a true junior and turns 21 in December 2023 so I don't think he will be eligible for the draft this year. Hurley will be a big loss and Cannizzaro was solid. Bryant was very good in the field, but is 0.214 at the plate. Arguelles (4.64 ERA) had some good outings, but was a little inconsistent. Hurney has pitched 27.2 innings with an ERA of 7.81 and Higgins 23.2 innings with an ERA of 5.32. They've both had good moments, but not stellar. With Hack hopefully coming back, and I have no idea what is going to happen with Green, but if he overcomes this injury then we'll have 2 solid starters (assuming they can get back to the form we've seen them achieve at times) returning. I am concerned about Green coming back and being effective though. We need to find a good lefty who can be that Day 3 weekend starter and a few good bullpen arms (either through transfer or development). I think the pieces are in place for a very successful 2024 campaign if we remain relatively healthy (no team will go through a season without injuries), if Green and Worley are able to come back, and we can find a serviceable outfielder to take the place of Hurley. Wouldn't surprise me if Jones doesn't move over to CF next year and Eisert take over RF. We'll need to find a LF to replace Cannizzaro if the scenario I mentioned comes to fruition. The infield and catcher are all set with everyone returning (DeMartini taking back the 3rd base slot next year). I like the middle infield with Grady and Martin. Michel needs to cut down on some of his errors, but he probably will with maturity. I'm not sold on Donay playing catcher (7 past balls so far this year) but I love his bat (DH role maybe????). Of course we know what DeMartini can do at 3rd. ** Edited by Nortazhokie at 5/15/2023, 1:51:25 PM
