We were good in 2010 also....lost in the South Carolina regional to the

eventual Gamecock National Championship team. But a very good squad. Pete did a great job here. Especially considering the lack of overall facilities we had at that point. VT Baseball was crushed during the Atlantic 10/Big East timeframe. We were on a different planet when we first entered the ACC. Unfortunately, the Pat Mason era set back the progress that Pete had made and we were in a similar state (as when we entered the ACC) when Szefc arrived. Ironically, Pete's overall ACC winning percentage (while at VT) has not been as good as Szefc's, but their overall winning percentage (while at VT) is almost identical.
