Both committees claimed that DSR & KP would be a new metric for determining seeding and postseason for diamond sports. Well…softball committee straight up ignored it. Biggest beef I have with using RPI by committees is they talk about comparable RPI teams then compare SOS. WELL….that’s double dipping. SOS is already a part of the RPI math…WHY are you counting it twice??? Baseball rankings KPI 36 DSR 24 RPI 45 If we were named “Texas” or “Alabama” I know they’d “use DSR AND KPI”.
