He’s a FR with TONS of physical tools & potential. Needs work on mechanics of catching or maybe needs to play 1B. He does have a cannon of an arm On that popup he correctly held onto the mask until he got a bead on it then threw it out of the way. The mistake he made was not putting his off hand on the ball on the catch because those do have heavy spin & are hard to hold in a catcher’s mitt with one hand It’s more a “crap that’s a tough break after a mistake by a Fr” not blaming him necessarily.
