This is outstanding hindsight bias. You manage your team to win the thing
If team wins game 1 and has ace for a game 2 into the winners bracket, going to look really smart.
If say UCLA wins their game 1, you blow your ace game 1 and get hammered by UCLA in game 2, looks less smart.
