They have talented hitters and some pitchers that will be MUCH better than what W&M brought. Ryan Jaros (NC State transfer) and Peyton Bonds are good hitters. Yes THAT Bonds. He's his nephew. I don't care to face anyone with that name. They went down to CofC and beat them 3 out of 4 this past weekend. As we found out a few years ago, that's a tough place to win baseball games. Their pitching has been pretty good over the past couple years. Jersey is a hot bed for baseball talent in the northeast. We got Wyatt Parliament from Rutgers. We're lucky they lost their 1-2 punch in premium starter Landon Mack (Tennessee) and a pretty solid #2 Shadek (GT) to the portal. But Konstantinovsky is back from an injury that kept him out all last year and he looks REALLY good [5 IP, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9K, 2 H]. Harrison wasn't too shabby either down in Charleston. Fecteau will have a good scouting report on our pitchers so Rutgers have a shot to make this a difficult weekend. Hokies have to be focused and get at least 2 of 3 here. We know next weekend will just be about getting at least one win. To stay tournament-bound we need to stack some wins before a tough start to ACC play in Atlanta and Charlottesville.
