both of them were pretty effective in ACC play last year (Exum with a 3.68 ERA in 14.2 innings; Manning with a 5.40 ERA in 23.1 innings) so they have both previously been viable weekend arms. Manning has been slightly better after struggling as a starter this year so hopefully he can stay in a relief role and get more quality appearances. Exum has been a head-scratcher. He's been really good for two years but has struggled with his command this year and generally been ineffective. I noticed he asked for someone on the staff to trim his fingernail during the game so not sure if maybe he has been dealing with a hand issue. In any case, if they can round into form, that would be a big boost for our bullpen.
