I don't think he has ever played SS with the A's.
They had a stud there for a number of years before he was traded but Pinder never replaced him. He's always been a utility player in the big leagues, mostly in the OF. He's starting in LF this yr. I think I remember him playing some 3rd base and their depth chart has him at 2B and 3B and 4th string SS
