The HR rate for Renfrow is a little worrisome…

I wouldn’t be as worried about his BABIP if his homer rate wasn’t also elevated. So far this year, he has given up a home run in every outing and has now given up 4 HR in 15.0 innings (2.4 per 9 IP). He was at 1.6 HR9 and 0.9 HR9 the last two years so that is a pretty big jump. Some of that is due to opponents as both Texas A&M and Georgia Tech are formidable offenses but giving up homers to both William & Mary and Rutgers is less than ideal. His walk rates are down and strikeout rates are up so it’s not all bad with Renfrow but to your point, the change in flyball to groundball rates are something worth watching and if he can “fix” the home run problem. Defensively, our infield is definitely different without Clay Grady at SS. Daniel is rangier at SS as he’s averaging about half a chance more per game than Grady for his career, but Daniel already has 5 errors in 15 games while Grady has only had 7 in 155 career games. Ethan Ball has been playing a really steady 2B with no error thus far but seems to have a pretty low range factor this far. And Petrich started a little shaky at 3B with two errors in his first 3 games but has been error-free the last 12 games.
