I know we're supposed to pat ourselves on the back for almost not losing to
UCLA, but the bigger issue is losing to Cal Poly. That can't happen. Period. I know other teams with more talent than us also lost....and they also should be upset about it. We didn't have the kind of talent to play from the losers bracket.
Look, I didn't expect us to make it to super regionals....because we just don't do that sort of thing at VT. That said, we wasted a huge opportunity. UCLA is not playing good baseball right now. They're very beatable...and we had a chance to play out of the winners bracket. Instead we lose to Cal Poly and get to face UCLA with no room for error.
Don't. Lose. To. Cal Poly.
