Guy has great stuff - imo we need to handle him much better
He couldn't get his offspeed stuff over on Sunday....but they couldn't touch his 97-with-movement fastball. So what does staff do - he calls mostly offspeed stuff. By the end of the outing he couldn't get anything over, confidence gone, but in the 1st he was blowing them away with that fastball when called. Just call the fastball, let the kid get comfortable, and the breaking stuff will follow in the 2nd or 3rd...that fastball is good enough to get by on for an inning or 2. Swift is another guy who may need to get some weekend looks.
