That’s fine as long as it’s sustainable

If it’s not, then we’ll find that “can” somewhere down the road.

A person’s strength

is in his ability to show independence and pave their own path. Following in your father’s footsteps usually makes the father proud but the end result is rarely the same.

You’re not kidding

For some reason, VT coaches think that a FG is more valuable than a TD. It’s been that way since the days when Dooley couldn’t count the number of scholarships.

The time to win the MNC

Was when we had the players and defense. When Stiney was coach, our offense DEPENDED upon broken plays and QB scrambles. He had the players but no plays. That’s what really happened and what the internet coaches are saying.

The new coach

Will likely bring his team like WF inherited with their coach. Hopefully a QB will be included.

Yeah at this point

You look to the future. You take chances. You bench players who make poor choices to gain control of the team. You blitz the quarterback (like WF did) during critical downs. We can’t defend the receivers. We give too much cushion. Our pass defenders never turn around. The list goes on and on. These are coachable issues and can be moderated if not eliminated. However, no matter how many coaches we hire, we always seem to hire the same guys. My biggest criticism of Drones is he doesn’t seem to see defenders right in front of him; much less the peripheral vision. It’s almost he’s in “practice” mode during the game and doesn’t believe these guys will really tackle him.

True about Babcock

But also everyone needs to realize that they have access to an enormous amount of money. They just foolishly went after the Directors Cup all these years. Things have changed.

In time, we won’t pay our players either

Once reality hits and the professional big college system kicks in high gear.

Watching the Ohio wvu game

I was impressed with the Ohio coaching. Also impressed with the odu coaching. We got the lesser assistant from psu.

I donated 10x what it cost me to get a degree

When Whit came in with his greediness and breaking promises, I left. That’s what I remember about him. In the meantime, he made millions from you. You decide whether you want this to continue. I got out before he could get any of my money.

No matter what you pay them

If they do bad, they’re gone. If they do well, they’re gone. The only solution is to get someone that is vested in and really cares about VT; the school, the people and the faithful. I was hoping that we would go with Price the last time but we get what we got. Once we find that person, we must be patient. Just as we did in Beamer. However, with our current AD situation, we can only dream.

Truth be told

If you’re getting paid, then school should not be their priority. Their boss calls the shots, not the professors or the school. They should move off campus and focus on their job. They are professionals. Those choosing to get an education should continue to focus on their degree and take advantage of their scholarships. Just like the way they did in the past. Once you mix professionals and amateurs, you have a mess. Finally, when is the last time you heard about a player flunking out? Think about it. You are paying people to get a degree that is worthless.

Don’t laugh too hard

As much as I dislike unc, they have scored 2 more touchdowns than us this season.

Not only that but

It keeps the players from wearing out so fast. Man defense makes you run around constantly chasing the offense. You never get your wind. Thus, stupid fouls and late game breakdowns. Popcorn man says he will never play zone so so the opponents will never be surprised.

No one listened when he coached here. Maroon & Orange glasses.

Good recruiter but no feeling for what’s going on in the game. It’s easy to see without the glasses.

When he leaves here, he’ll leave as a millionaire.

To him, it’s a job. Nothing more. One of these days we’ll wise up and get someone who lives and breathes VT.

He had good players. Struggled with in game coaching.

We’ve got a real coach now. Give her time to recruit and you’ll get over kenny.
