Posting History (15)

College World Series tomorrow…

and although it didn’t work out for VT I’ll still be attending. I’ll still be wearing some VT swag in Section 4 on the 3rd base side for Session 1. Go Hokies! P.S. the future Duke pitcher from Conroe was as advertised and shut us out. My daughter did hit a double to deep right off her though.

Got tickets today for Session 1 in OKC

Might be the cart before the horse, but gotta feeling! Only 3 hours from Dallas. Go Hokies!

Playing at Baylor on Friday….

So my daughter’s High School team (Wylie, TX) is in the Texas Semi Regionals against Conroe High, north of Houston. Supposedly they have a pitcher going to Duke so it will be a tall task. Never know in a one game, winner take all, but a cool experience to play at a Big 12 stadium. Hope both VT and Wylie have much success this weekend!

Any softball practices after Fall Season or is it strictly weights and

conditioning at this point? Will be in town for Syracuse game and sticking around until Saturday with my daughter. Would like to catch a practice if possible.

Living in Dallas

I'm selfishly looking forward to seeing more VT sports in the area even if it's very odd adding SMU, Cal and Stanford.

Agree, we turned singles into triples

by air mailing the catcher. As far as the first pitch strategy, I like the strategy as long as it’s not a must swing approach. Adjust and move on.

Humble opinion is

we are a bit of a one approach offense. The 3 run Homerun (Earl Weaver) is how we are built. Fun to watch and I’ve watched all weekend! To be elite, we need to add more speed and be able to switch our approach when it isn’t working. If we can add a little bit of small ball to our arsenal we can keep the pressure on, no matter the opponent or pitcher. UCLA nor OSU got to see Lemley, I think that was intentional. She will be new to them in OKC. Hope I’m right. Go Hokies!

Just saw the Texas Tournament schedule dates…

woohoo, will be there with my daughter from Dallas. One of the players on Texas is from my daughters school! Hopefully she will see the light:) Go Hokies!

I was a student 86-90 when the tailgate

consisted of a bucket of KFC chicken and whatever was in the cooler in the trunk of the Oldsmobile.
