I know that a lot of people can set a budget and just place a few bets here and there for fun. However, I think the ease of access and excessive marketing is going to result in a lot more gambling addictions. There will also be a lot more vitriol, death threats, etc. to players, coaches, and refs as a result. Overall, I’m not a fan and will probably never participate.

Understandably everyone thinks of the offensive PI but I wonder if Reggie Bush could have been held in check if Adibi was healthy the whole game. Might have changed some of the outcomes the rest of the season too.

And I know there’s been a lot of understandable frustration but that just shows me a lot more people care about VT women’s basketball than ever before. I know I’ve watched more games these last few years than I had ever watched before. Ultimately the success we’ve had recently is why we were able to get a great new coach. I’m excited by what I’ve seen so far from Coach Duffy and look forward to whatever the future holds for the program!

It seems our runs so far have all come whilst playing zone. Is there any reason to go back to man at this point?

Essentially he’s asked if his career would have been the same if he played for Duke or VT. He said no because Davidson gave him immediate playing time and Davidson’s system prepared him better for the NBA. Very good interview if you have a chance to check it out. Also, his Underrated documentary on Apple TV+ is very good too.

There’s definitely been some of the we can beat anybody but also lose to anybody type of performances that we saw a lot under Greenberg. They are very different in that MY’s strength seems to be offense and SG’s strength was defense though. I believe some of our issues with inconsistent effort are due to lack of depth this year so it’ll be interesting to see if this trend continues with MY or if we can get the proverbial BC monkey off our back. In terms of the ACCT, yes we would not have advanced had Maddox not hit that shot. But you could say something similar about multiple moments in UVA’s national championship run. Any one of those could have been another disappointing early exit and some probably questioning TB’s ability to win the big NCAAT games. But obviously we’d love to be questioning MY’s ability to win Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games vs. questioning why we didn’t make the NCAAT. :) I’m rooting for MY and it’ll be interesting to see how we do over the next 2-3 years with the recruits we have now and hopefully future high-level recruits and transfers.

- WVU fans around me were very nice. I didn’t see any animosity other than some friendly trash talk. - The holes the WVU RBs had were huge! I was toward the north end zone on east side so I got a clear view of a lot of them. You could have fit 2-3 RBs through some of them - I didn’t see the roughing the passer hit from Dax. However, a part of me wonders if the ref threw the flag because he was so surprised to see the WVU QB hit at all haha - Wells had some nicely thrown balls but is lacking touch for short throws and missed some wide open receivers long. - Red zone D was solid for a lot of the night but obviously caved towards the end. - We are just not a fun team to watch. I’m pretty apathetic at this point after the Fuente years and obviously winning cures a lot of things. Maybe someday we’ll get an epilogue like the Believeland 30 for 30. We just can’t seem to ever put it all together in any sport. Or we just have some terrible luck. Either way I agree with what Chris always says about men’s bball…you have to just keep making the post season and hopefully…eventually, the stars will align for us.

I’m not super familiar with softball rules so I might be missing something.
