Agree. Matchup really hard against 2 very young point guards. Physical 1st half didn't help either. That defense is designed to wear you down mentally and physically and we made it look easy 2nd half. Kinda felt we were OK for 2-3 minutes after each break but then we got tired legs and things fell apart. Will need to get in better shape so the mental part of the game doesn't derail us so much.

But with new coordinators and infusion of new players were a tough matchup for us in Week 1. Plenty of film to digest at Week 3. I wish we had them Week 3 instead of Week 1.

While I don't recall the specific foul calls referenced by Coach Brooks, it is fairly common for quicker teams to cause slower teams to foul. They can't stay in front and often grab or use contact with the body to compensate for lack of speed. I think it's possible that the two explanations are in agreement.
