I went to a U of Idaho game last year…
…the atmosphere there was better than what you describe and I’m not sure this tech squad could compete at the top of the FCS level.

That’s just ridiculous.
I’d rather watch VT lose than contribute to paying a teenager $600k to play basketball.
Think how many kids needing financial aid you could put through engineering, business, vet school, etc instead.
If they want NIL, ESPN should be paying them along with maybe the bookstore off jersey sales. Not us.

Agree. I don't see how this current situation lasts for long.
The elite teams need to break away into a legitimate NFL farm league and the schools like VT can drop back into some form of a lower cost amateur program. It just makes no sense how you have college players making more than some NFL players. In what other sport, organization, etc is that a working long term model?
