Thought this was pretty cool.

Feel like all this in bounds/out of bounds nonsense would be a moot point
...if Greg Brady had been our cheerleader photographer. If we had the technology to get clear photographic evidence in 1971, I feel like we should be doing even better in that department now.
But without Greg's cheerleading obsessive photography skills, we are left with a blurry image, and the ruling on the field should have stood.
Also, Danny Coale caught the ball!!

Hokie sightings - Aluma and Cattoor
Aluma playing very solid in 3 summer league games.
11 ppg 70% from the field, including a 19 point game
Not sure what his chances are of a 2 way contract, but he's certainly not hurting those chances.
Cattoor with a decent game a couple days ago. 7 points 3 assists in 11 minutes

Dumb portal question
With Micah Matthews' commitment, it got me thinking. If a 2 sport athlete wanted to go to school A for football, but school B for baseball, would any rule prevent them from enrolling full time fall semester for school A, then hit the portal to school B in the spring, and go back and forth? Probably wouldn't work for basketball since it covers 2 semesters.
Just wondering if that would be allowed.

Has any former hokie won an nba championship?
No one comes to mind. Unless maybe I'm missing someone who was on a regular season roster, but not the playoff roster, of a championship team.

Away game ticket question
I've never been to a Hokie away game before, but am planning to go to the Vanderbilt game. Currently Vandy's site doesn't have single ticket games on sale, nor a date set when they will be available.
Hokie individual games to non-season ticket holders goes up on 5/4. Will away game tickets be available that day on hokiesports.com or just VT home games? Do schools even get an allotted amount of away tickets to sell? Or will I need to get those through Vanderbilt's site when they become available?

My proposal for the next ncaa rule change
Let former NBA players who never used up their eligibility enroll in school and play college ball. For example, let Lebron and Bronny team up at Ohio St next year. Lebron still has 4 years of eligibility left. A 61 year old Jordan can return to UNC to suit up for one more year.
While we're at it, maybe just get rid of capping how many years a player can play college sports. As long as I'm enrolled in classes, why shouldn't I be able to compete for like 15 straight years bouncing from school to school.
I mean if they're going to make this transfer stuff chaotic, they should really go all out.

Mid-season college player trades are next.
ESPN article today states, "...but they can't transfer midyear and play for a second school in the same season."
I hadn't really given that thought before, but would anyone really be shocked if in a few years the ncaa allowed this?

The 3 weirdest rules in sports
in my opinion anyway:
a) you can run to 1st on a dropped 3rd strike
b) fumbling through the end zone is a touchback
c) failing to gut your dead moose properly results in a 2 hour penalty

Is it cheating if someone looks up whether or not a word they want to submit has already been used by wordle from a previous day?
To stick with the golf analogies, it seems like it's the wordle version of giving yourself a slightly better lie, or giving yourself a mulligan on the first drive, etc.

We used to park on nearby streets for free - is that still an option?
Been a while since I've gone to a football game. If street parking filled up, people in nearby neighborhoods would typically charge around $15-20 to park in their yard.
Only reason I was thinking squires lot is that the walk isn't too far and $30 isn't too bad. I'm hoping not to pay more than that. Been a while since I've been to a football game.
If parking on a nearby street isn't possible, is paying a local to park in their yard still a decent option?

He was an ambassador for Crucial Catch, a combined charity of ACS and NFL.
Maybe people making a donation there in Caleb's name would be a way to show support to him. His mom's death was due to breast cancer. From what I've read, his parents dated in high school and were married until her death. I think supporting a charity that means so much to him personally could show him that Hokie nation cares.

Full schedule came out mid-september last year, and non-conference came out
end of july last year. I'd assume the non-conference will be officially out any day now based on that, although David Cunningham has kept up with reported dates/opponents on the future schedule page.

What happened to the VT/Wofford team in The Basketball tournament?
They were going to be called M.Y.'s Guys. Saw a list of teams in the tournament, and they weren't on it anymore. Anyone know why? I'm not really familiar with the format of TBT, maybe they lost a play in game or something.
