Let's play shadow puppets...see the bunny coming out of my butt?

But seriously, she's blocking line on the right hitter and no block on the left....probably not the best defense for the left hitter.

Kind of like showing up on ESPN because you're an upset fan in the stands

The camera was on the other side of the field and you had no idea you were about to become a meme....even for a UVA fan, that always seemed harsh to me.

Every pilot I've met, and it's more than most people, would say Iceman was

the better pilot. The guy that never "flew by the seat of his pants" was always preferred.

This is actually a big issue...travel sports has killed the love of sports

in so many kids. Baseball/softball, soccer, and basketball. Before they even develop to the level where they are actually growing into their athletic ability, they are burned out. Football is also bad, but not as bad as those three. At least in that sport you aren't playing tackle until a little later. Volleyball has grown as a second sport...the sport you pick after you burned out on your first sport. Travel volleyball is really bad at age 12 and doesn't start looking like real volleyball until 13's or 14's depending on the talent level and coach.

Seems like too little too late. Baseball has lost the last 2 generations,

maybe even the last 3. It's been so slow for so long and has only gotten worse up until this year. Pitch clock - yeah, that's not a bad thing. Bigger bases - you are correct again, who cares. Not sure about bigger gloves or not. Shift ban - yes, if they can't hit it, you shouldn't be in the pros. Electronic ump - yes. The biggest change in baseball over the last 15 years is maximum effort in pitching. It's more about overpowering the batters on every pitch than it use to be. Pitching has gotten better in this area, but it's also why pitchers aren't lasting as long. If you are expected to throw 90+ on every pitch, where the 80's pitcher was pitching 80+ on every pitch, that changes how long your pitcher is going to last in a game. In the end, I doubt these will do much to change the number of baseball fans.

Whatever, that 2019 World Series gives them the latest & it's not like

the Expos ever won anything, so that franchise is basically gets a pass for another 10 years.

Not that any of these would be PI hired events, but I had 2 different

friends that moved to Hawaii briefly in the 90's, at different times. Both told me afterwards there is a TON of theft there. Like if your car breaks down on the highway, don't expect your tires to be on the car when you come back. I can't remember exactly where they were, but I know it wasn't the resort area. You are right, there probably isn't enough PI level crime there. The population of the entire state, including all of the islands, is around the same as the Greater Richmond Area and a little smaller than Hampton Roads. Probably plenty of crime, but I do wonder where any PI makes enough money to live. I would think following significant others is their only real gig.

Looking back, I hated the elf on a shelf for many years, and the kids are

teenagers and way old enough to be past it, but my advice is embrace that type of thing because it goes fast.

DMV these days....Kind of like "Tidewater" wasn't good anymore because it

was associated with "brown water," so leaders started selling "Hampton Roads" because that was the term used for the waterways in the area by the English and early colonists. Personally, as someone that grew up down there, I didn't want to be associated with the City of Hampton in any way and didn't like "Hampton Roads" as the nickname. Now, 757 is used a lot, but that didn't exist when I lived there. I always liked Tidewater better. NOVA was a thing when I was at VT and honestly, I didn't care. I saw it as one big traffic jam, worst than even Hampton Roads.

I know. I doubt VT has enough space for Soph's on campus at this point

and probably won't for years to come. This expansion is more about increasing the freshman class than anything, but they would love to be able to accommodate as many students on campus as possible.

I don't think Putin is screaming and crying about anything

Russia is all about the army. They fight when they believe in the cause, just like any other army. If he doesn't have the support of the soldier in the field, he won't win. That's how Russian leadership has lived or died for 500 years.
