THAT is exactly what Georgia did but she was excoriated. Posted a sincere thanks to Hokie Nation. Could have gone pro, transferred to UK, somewhere else, but she was done here. 4yrs, VT degree, ACC championships, final 4 was not enough apparently. We blew her up. She’s just ok, she’s no Liz. Rode Liz’s coattails, etc. Liz wouldn’t have been 3x POY without Georgia. Liz knows that, but it’s lost on many here. Don’t get me wrong. I hate she’s gone and have hated UK for years so won’t be cheering for her as I have other SEC interests, but she deserved a much better farewell than we gave her.

I’m not saying anyone should be happy about Georgia leaving - be ticked off, angry, resentful, disappointed, heartbroken, etc. but deal with it like f’ing adults rather than 12 year olds. Made it through that entire podcast, but the end broke me. The fact that she feels the need to skip walking for her degree is shameful. That act ceremonially caps a college students career and all that encapsulates. Such a shame.

May also be interesting to see where her boyfriend goes in the NBA draft. Not that’s a dealbreaker but proximity could potentially help or hurt.

Doubt awkward at all. Would have been inappropriate for GA to have been there. Liz gets it. She's going to support her teammate, roomie, fellow-queen however she can. She loves CKB. Has said that. Might very well have followed him as well had she had eligibility remaining. GA loves VT. Has said so and appreciates all that the Hokie Nation has contributed to making it a home for her the past 4 years. She has also noted how important CKB was to her development as a hooper. Helped her become an All American. We fans cant take any credit for that. At this point, she's seeking to further that development under a coach that she knows and trusts. Pretty simple really. Hated UK before this. Hate them more now. Will hate to see GA in blue next year, but she wasn't going to be playing here regardless.
