Maybe our coaches time is better spent recruiting our current roster and those players we want in near or in the portal. There's a bunch of teams that aren't "dancing" with players we might find attractive. Look at Collins and Nikel at Vandy when we were sitting home. Certainly not the whole $tory. However, between the NCCA and NIT fields, that's a bunch of coaches not recruiting talent at 240+ teams. So, if you think about it, maybe calling them quitters doesn't reflect the "rest of the story".

a major piece of their "chemistry" issue is that their point guards share keen affection in the same woman. Not in the sense that he was a land owner, instead Professor Arthur Ballard Massey's (Botany) research led to the most comprehensive collection or Virginia and Southeastern US flora. Know as the Massey Herbarium over 115,000 specimens of plants, fungi, etc. are on display. As I understand it, the "master plan" for the VT campus features all of the specimens trees and shrubs found in Virginia. This plan, originating and was then implemented by Stuart Kent Cassell, VPI's "COO" (of sorts). Cassell Colosseum is named for him.
When I was an undergraduate, I was under the impression that the Herbarium might be an excellent source for "combustible herb". Not the case, back to the Rebel Yell.
