You got out of that… I asked him where did he get that.. TJ hasn’t announced anything but the rumors go.. As it stands right now TJ is a Hokie thats in the portal. TJ is focused on finishing school strong right now and letting the rest work its way out.. I haven’t been to involved in this process, just finding out as he go. My focus is on taking care of my wife, who was diagnosed with cancer last year. This has been one of the hardest things in my children’s life. To watch their mother go thru something they have never experienced. Wrestling was not TJ main focus, nor was school. His mother’s health was more important and he struggled with it.. The reason both boys picked for Tyler to transfer and make it easier on Mom. So much more has happened this season than I can explain on here. Life is life and it doesn’t stop for anyone.. Thank you for those that chose to still be a fan, not knowing all that this kid was dealing with off the mat that did affect his whole life not just the wrestling part. My wife did not tell anyone but our kids until she had surgery 4 weeks ago, not even the coaches and TJ had to keep that in as well.. So yes it was a lot of dynamics going on.

The 184 moving season has been crazy. We have visited 5 schools all offered 3 already had 184 in place so yeah this has been the craziest year.

He has Asked TJ to stay and left the door open to return. I have nothing but the most UP Respect for Coach Robie!!! Love him!! Supportive in every way..

To be honest I’m didn’t know he was in the portal, TJ called me after talking with his coach and told me he is in the portal. TJ loves VT and his team mates so it was hard for him. Today my phone has not stop ringing and texting. To be honest I would like for him to stay at VT and Robie gets an upper weight coach and partners. When Mekhi was TJ partner I thought he excelled. People will speculate and all sorts but that’s ok. All I care about is my kid being happy and enjoying his college experience.

It’s been know that he opened up his recruitment.

But that’s what’s make guy want to train there and be great. The better partners the better you can get.

How do you know that. I talked to Nolan yesterday, which is Jay father I know the family very well as our boys have wrestle on travel teams together. The money was offered before he committed to VT As well. Money is not everything to people and when you have money already why bother. Of that was the case man TJ could have went to 4 different schools as they all offered 100k and above, but he wanted to got to VT because Robie showed him he cared about him and it was more than a business. The room can make or break a wrestle and not having good partners and a good coach to push you and get the best out of is always an issue and for some it’s more. Yes Robie as well as all of us knew he had already opened his recruitment almost a Month ago. You must have missed that.

Look at PSU room compared, how many Champs from World to NCAA to Olympic partners you would have.

Dude, it’s definitely not about money. It’s seems like people always think NIL is what drives these guys. It’s not money can be made anywhere, it’s about the right fit, feeling like the team is home, it’s about the right coaches that you feel will get you over the top and you know have your best always. VR not going anywhere. Having that coach that gets the best out of you.

My wife had Major surgery to remove some cancer…. She is home now and resting well. It’s been a hard year on our family and most of all TJ…. God is so merciful, and we are truly blessed.. Thank you.

Friday night will be the 1st time this season that we have had a full starting lineup that all is healthy and ready to go…. I look forward to a dominant VT win….. Let’s go Hokie!!!

Was the 1st time since TJ Tore his Meniscus and a Slight rip in his MCL that he felt GREAT! See we was stuck with a choice of Having surgery or letting it heal over time. After the MRI we let TJ make the choice because it’s his body and future. He choice to be here for the team, BTW he had to wrestle off against Fisher and which he beat. TJ main problem was moving left to right and it showed. After time I could see it play into his confidence and training. We had some talks with Robie of maybe Medical Redshirt, but Robie said no need to worry TJ will be ready come March. I stepped back and listen to the coaches. They never had a worry even when losing Robie never doubted TJ once! Because he knew what he had in the room and when TJ is feeling good it’s hard for anyone to beat him. So the plan was to keep working, allowing the leg to heal and build confidence back. Friday night was just what the doctor ordered.. For those who supported him as he went thru this I truly appreciate you and Thank you, and for the others well, thank you as well because that was motivation for him to work even harder…

That was TJ girlfriends father your talking about as he jump up when TJ pinned the guy. I Don’t do emotions at wrestling. I was in front with my headphones on watching Penn St vs Iowa at the same time.

If you think I am looking for comments then you my friend think wrong.. i don’t care about that. But if you attack my kid without knowing the truth then YES I will speak, simple.. It’s people all over social media with talks that’s ok, but the one place I would think to look for understanding and support would be here. If you have ever had a knee injury and had to fight thru it and try to get yourself conditioned without being able to fully use it then you would understand. And my comment was to the person who talked about his IQ! But to be Frank I have seen some post on another form from 2 people that’s on this form talking ****.. that’s ok I even screen shot the post because I was going to say something but as TJ always tell me Dad its not worth it.

TJ will not go to Keystone and give him some time. Let me clear the air on here… Thomas never got to workout and cut weight in off season because he was hurt. We didn’t want to have surgery and the leg feels good to him. The problem is he hadn’t cut any weight because of being injured and as you all can see it’s a struggle getting his legs back. People always try to add there opinions, if you want to know I am his father just as me, I have know problem with sharing with his fans. Robie is the best coach TJ could have ever had as he understands and by far believes in TJ. He is working his ass off to get back in wrestling shape and to be frank, I am freaking amazed at his ability to be this much in shape. Kid has a heart of a lion and will do whatever ever it takes for his team. For the person who said and you know who… He struggle the beginning of last year , if you was paying any attention that’s when he 1st got hurt and was out until January and guess what he AA in that short period of time wrestling live in only 10 matches.. Don’t ever doubt that or his work effort💪🏾💪🏾 2 to 3 times a day he is working to get back and prepare . let’s go Hokies!!

Not only his 1st weight cut since March but he has been hurt. MCL…. So getting back in may shape is what the coaches want Missouri match his legs was shot. That will all change with time…. BTW Sasso is hurt he was in a boot but it’s off now.

They live close to us great family. And as you know TJ and Billy went to Blair together.. I am working on him to VT…
