When I said make FTs, don't turn it over, and don't shoot too soon, I guess
I forgot to mention DON'T FOUL A 3 POINT SHOOTER

Don't turn it over. Use up shot clock. Make free throws.
We can't lose if we do those three things from here on in.

Yep, he also missed a bunch of layups. But he has defended well
I will admit I am still scared he will commit a turnover in these last few minutes as he has in other games.

Syracuse averages 6.9 3 pointers per game and shoots 33% from 3.
6.9 3 pointers = 280th in division1
.332 3pt% = 234th in division 1
Tonight, they are 7 for 11 from 3.
As long as they go 0 for 10 from 3 the rest of the game, they will be right on their average.

It's also to reduce liability to the company or agency
If they can prove that you took the training and successfully completed it, then when you do something to screw up, the company can't be held liable. They can say the employee had all the required training and the employee was the one that screwed up.
Also, especially true in government agencies, if they want to fire you, they can show cause by showing that you knowingly violated rules and you had the training so you can't say you didn't know the rules or that you were just doing what you were told.

Wow, 86. I set my personal record for oldest musician I saw live a few
months ago when I saw 81 year old Boz Scaggs.
Toying with the idea of breaking that record when 90 year old Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass comes to town in a couple months.

Even if you watch on DVR after the game is over, there is probably some
sort of quantum force / Schrodinger's Cat type situation where if you watch on DVR afterwards, we lose, and if you don't, it turns out we won. I wouldn't risk it.

First game since UMES on December 14 that wasn't decided in the last 6
seconds of the game or in OT.

We're not THAT good -- .714, 207th out of 365 D1 teams
So below the median, probably not by much. I would not characterize us as a "good" FT shooting team.

It was great to win, but...
What an ugly game.
If you like to hear whistles and watch free throws all day, it was a fun game.
But I made the train trip up. And I got to set foot on the floor at MSG. (One foot, after the game I went down to the floor and quickly toe-tapped the wood before leaving through an exit).

If you like Vietnamese/Thai, Cafe Mekong on South Main is good
In the shopping center with Campus Emporium (across from the shopping center with the Kroger).

Actually didn't FSU kind of pay us back
I remember FSU beating us on a long buzzer beater in a Metro Tournament game in the 85-86 timeframe. Some guy named Peewee?
What I can't remember is whether it was halfcourt or just something like 30 feet.

Incorrect!!!!!
DJ Golf said "we did make the longest game-wining shot in the history of basketbal".
Will said: "A guy from Marshall broke that record in 1985".
Yes, the guy from Marshall DID hit a shot that was considered longer than Henson's. But it was at the end of the first half.
So DJ Golf is still correct: the Henson Heave is, as far as I know, the longest GAME-WINNING shot in the history of basketball.

Man, tough crowd
We are 13-4, and we are a better team with him than without him.
You just walk around waiting for a piano to fall on your head?

So I guess the NBA treats the Hornets like the Browns?
It's a different franchise that Dell never played for but because it went to that name, he is considered part of the current fanchise?

No, I am talking about what you are
Yes, the trend is away from cable, but it is towards streaming everything via whatever internet connection you have, with little differentiation between things like Youtube and Instagram and streaming services and packages that bundle up what used to be called cable channels.
There really aren't a lot of people trending towards getting digital antennas and getting broadcast channels to their TVs, especially among younger people.

Major network TV viewer numbers are way down compared to 20+ years ago
Sports not so much, but the highest rated drama shows get far fewer viewers than the top shows in previous decades.
And it will only continue to decrease -- Gen Z folks barely watch over the air TV at all.

Because Amazon paid a lot of money to the NFL for the right to broadcast
the game.
And with so many people abandoning over the air TV to go to streaming-only and such packages -- the NFL is trying to reach that market. There were a couple regular season games on Peacock only, and 2 on Netflix only. And if those networks pony up $$$ in the next round of TV negotiations, there will be games there too.
People said the same thing years ago when the first playoff games aired on non over-the-air networks such as ESPN.

They should have hours of extra practice at what they did very well today?
Seems to me they should shoot nothing but 3 pointers in practice tomorrow (5/23 today).
