There have never been 12 almost evenly matched teams.. never!
Hell, there were never 4 evenly matched teams when there was only a 4 team playoff. There was always 1 or 2 teams that were above the others, so we'd get 1 or 2 blowouts and maybe a good game in the final.. or maybe not.
Having said that, I like the 12 team playoff. We get to actually see what happens on he field instead of just listening to blowhards spouting on message boards. So far, all games have gone pretty much like I thought they would except OSU blowing out Oregon.. headscratcher. Argue over the seeding all you want, but you're going to keep seeing the same kind of results.
More is better IMO

The question is whether he was a domestic terrorist or if he had foreign support. The FBI is just using a different definition to be careful about what they infer until they have more information

.. to end the 1987 Fiesta Bowl. Loved watching Michael Irving, Jimmy Johnson, Testaverde et al cry! Bums tore up the locker room.
I'll still watch that game now and then.

You might lose a little passion for the sport, but it's certainly more realistic. The highs and lows will smooth out to more of a Dr. Pepper football commercial.
