GM final interviews are this week. All the finalists are NFL guys. Jeff King being one of them. Expect a GM to be hired and to lead the coaching search while they create a CEO of Athletics position and phase Whit Babcock out Rocovich and Pearson are running point

The BOV meeting at the end of the month is huge. That’s when the detailed plan will be revealed and likely passed. Expect a Football GM to be hired that will lead the coaching search with the committee. After that is in place, Whit Babcock will be out shortly after and an AD search will also take place. Lots of moving pieces over the next month or so

I know for a fact JHam was a panic hire

Odum was actually on campus at one point. Fuente had to go back to Whit to ask for a higher staff budget to be able to give Odum what he was asking for. They took too long to respond hoping he was playing chicken and he got a better offer elsewhere. They really had no plan B. They turned to JHam since they had no one else to turn to. Remember, the original plan was for Galen Scott to eventually take over for Bud but we know how that played out

Not sure Tennessee would take Drones. He’s currently coming off of a surgery, his tape from last year was very good, doesn’t seem to fit their system either, they run complex routes and require you to throw a good deep ball
