It’s not out of the realm of reality.

Under the current rules, the 5 highest ranked conference champions will receive the automatic bids. Not P4 + 1. The 7 at large bids will go to the 7 highest ranked non conference champion teams. Currently SMU has the inside track to ACCCG and they are unranked. If SMU wins ACC, it’s not far fetched for 2 G5 champions (Tulane & JMU) to get in and leave ACC out.

VT was +14 in 2019 game and won. Miami couldn’t handle Hooker.

“Home run hire” = 10 win seasons & competing for ACC Championships?

While winning 8-9 games a year is massive improvement from Pry era, it’s not “return to prominence” corresponding with the level of elation and euphoria oozing from this board. Coach Franklin was not my 1st choice. Now that he has been hired, he is my only choice. Let’s all support Coach Franklin. Go Hokies!
