Was it a leg, knee, foot, or ankle injury?
Ankle and foot injuries can be difficult to rehab. Set backs or multiple surgeries are very common.

I think VT has a better talent than Clemson, however their strength
is they play hard for 40 minutes. They are mentally rough and never take a play off no matter the circumstances. Their level of play doesn't vary between the starters and bench. GO HOKIES, beat the Tigers.

Agree, Clemson's defense is really good. VT will need to score 70+ to win
I think Clemson wins with a score closer than many will predict. Something like 68 to 62

I'm not sure if the stats back it up, but every time I've watched Clemson play, their defense stands out and reminds me of Duke. They never let up throughout the entire game and it appears to wear teams down over the last 10 minutes of the game. Again, not sure if the stats back up what I'm seeing....

Is the Clemson game a must win to get into the NCAA tourney?
I know there's a few other opportunities for some quad 1 wins, but it just feels like this is a must win in my opinion. I think VT needs two more quad 1 wins.

Looking more and more like NIT bound this year.
NCS made some good halftime adjustments on their offense and VT got caught so many times going over screens and the Wolfpack took advantage.

@Chris Coleman do you know how winter workouts actually work?
Are there certain time constraints daily? Are the coaches allowed to do any one on one workout sessions with the players, or is it just walk around observations while the players lift, run, train, etc.?

didn't get any playing time at UNC? All of the quarterbacks who were ahead of him on the depth chart played very poorly in my opinion, so I'm just curious why he didn't even get a single snap. Thanks

I expect Huhn to be the backup next year. What do you think?
Huhn's skill set is very similar to Grunkemeyer which means the offense could continue to operate without changing the scheme to accommodate Baker. Just my opinion

It sure seemed like Franklin was trying to say that local and regional
media access is going to be very limited and very controlled. I expect Franklin to build something like a national media room all decked out with modern amenities, etc. He wants national attention with everything he does and wants to control the narrative. At least for right now, that appears to be his plan. However, he'll probably pick one or two local/ regional media outlets to build a relationship as to help connect with the fans.

I thought today's media day was for local access to players and coaches
in some one on one sessions, etc. However, I just heard it's just 4 assistant coaches each having only 15 minutes at the podium, more like a press conference style which will be broadcast live on the VT YouTube channel. Yesterday, in the ESPN article, Franklin gave access to ESPN to talk directly with 12 of the 2026 recruiting class players. I really hope at some point soon Andy Bitter gets some one on one access to at least talk with a few players and coaches to get some insights... Andy's access is our access as TSL subscribers. I'm looking forward to Andy's questions today with the 4 coaches. @Andy Bitter

@David Cunningham I listened to the podcast and hopefully CMY
has prepared Neo to be blasted with the "over-rated" chant every time he misses a shot, has a turnover, etc. Neo is going to need to be mentally strong over the next 2 road games. This could be the make or break for Neo that sets up the rest of his season.

I actually think it's a good thing because they will all be developed
together. It will also mean the backup and 3rd will get a lot of reps so they're prepared in case of an injury to Grunkemeyer

@Chris Coleman. Quarterbacks on roster 2026
Chris, I read an article a few days ago that broke down quarterback rosters for Power Four teams heading into the 2026 season. Virginia Tech has five quarterbacks on the roster, but between all of them, they’ve played in only six total games, all from Grunkemeyer. If I remember correctly, that was the least experienced QB room among all P4 teams.
That got me thinking, in the last 45 years at VT, has there ever been a season where the entire quarterback roster had less combined game experience than what we’re facing next year?

I think Neoklis Avdalas has hit a wall and probably needs to come off the bench for a couple games. I think the physicality of American basketball along with the overall quickness of the players has caught up to him at this point.
