We'll regardless of what you might think. The threats are definitely

A possibility. People can speculate all they want but there are definitely fans out here who take things to far. Twitter is proof. I've seen plenty of Grown MEN go on Twitter postings ridiculous comments on any post Amoore is tagged on after she followed Kenny to Kentucky. From "She's not a Real Hokie" to "I hope she breaks something before the season is over". Nothing wrong with being a fan but some of you will say whatever you want to say cause you're sitting behind the safety of your digital screens, when you know the same words wouldn't be said if you was face to face with whomever you're trash talking at the time.

Yup

In our conference alone we have some beasts. ND, NC State, Duke, Now Stanford and even UVA is getting some momentum. So I get we need to get the ball rolling.

I'm pretty sure we'll still be successful. Different Coaches, Different

Style, first time together. I don't expect us to win the ACC season or Championship this season. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we end up in the WNIT this season. Now season 2 is a different story.

I hope they replace her soon.

How things went down, I feel some type of way with a Brooks family member handling anything within the program.

Pretty sure alot of fans was vocal on him coming to their school too.

I'm just sayin, these coaches get paid nearly a mil or more to recruit players that fits their system. Some have been doing it for years, WNBA talent, coaching experience. If fans have to make them aware of kids in the area just because of school are offering them. Then aren't we essentially "Doing their job"? For free!?

I think it's more like It shows how far OUR WBB program has come.

Pretty sure Uconn, SC and ND fans have been on their boards every season having discussions like this. VT fans really didn't "Invest" in our women's BB program until we went on our ACC run last season. Even Amoore said the team had to go around campus getting people to come support them her freshmen season. Now that we've been on the big stage, won the conference and reg season championship, we don't want to lose that moment. Most likely if we was in a team like Wake Forest position. We would hear the hype, but wouldn't care cause we wasn't in the mix.

I don't think ANYTHING Sports (Men or Women)

should be paid as much as they do now. 150k is very sustainable. Unless you live in Cali or NY.. Then you might need to move. Thank you also for your service battle.

The anger and outrage of how much or how little a player makes in the big leagues fall on deaf ears. ** Edited by KingLeoVT at 4/17/2024, 9:09:06 PM

I'm saying

It seems like every few days or so, someone who's from VT or use to be committed to VT seems to leave for Kentucky. I'm happy players are staying (so far) but just waiting for more new hires or commits.

I was just about to post the samething.

He's taking his time, hiring coaches from VT while recruiting like it's nothing. Meanwhile, we're getting no news at all.

I'm sure you would of thought the samething about Amoore...

Atleast before the Tournament. I personally think she would of left with KB. Probably one of the main reason why Kenny took Strack (baby Kitley) with him. To try and reenact the Amoore and Kitley chemistry he had at Blacksburg.

Yeah but if she's not hired, then...👀

You're right about the demotion part, but if she don't get a HC job at Marquette or any other place. Then come on over! Any other asst. Coaches on her old staff, unless she's on the upgrade mode of "Out with the Old, in with the New" concept.

So far 3 great hires. 1 HC and 2 assistant coaches, but I need more..

More to the staff? More recruits? Transfers coming in? More, I need MOOOOORREEEE!!!!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would guess Kenny, since he was the one who helped her get to this point.

Kenny moved on without a care in the world.

Seems more like it's the fans who's holding on. However, it's clear the CMD is serious about Hokie Nation getting back on track and staying a powerhouse in WBB. So hiring 2 WNBA players who has experience coaching, recruiting and is familiar with the area speaks volumes on the success she's aiming for in Blacksburg.

At this point, it really doesn't matter if coaches played at UVA

Mines played at UVA and he's one or our best recruiters, coaches and happy being a Hokie.
