Is Mike young a “good” coach? Results at VT suggest he’s mediocre at best

If he doesn’t get an ncaa bid and a win in the tourney this year he needs to be gone. This is a results business and he is not getting them. To quote Metallica, “Sad but true”

Where was I wrong? VT is a poor defensive team that can’t shoot the 3.

I want to be optimistic but I see the same things I’ve been seeing the last 4 years. We don’t play in the SEC. Our SOS is going to be weak and getting run out the Bahamas didn’t help.

Lots of optimism for what appears to me to be a disaster. Our non

Conference schedule is soft. What appeared to be a good win over Providence is not. They’re .500 and have been routed in their 3 losses other than VT. The ACC is mediocre at best and may be only a 4 bid league again. I hope the Lawal injury was the reason for the Bahamas debacle but I suspect not. I like Mike young but another season missing the tourney is the end. ** Edited by HokieJ at 11/30/2025, 10:26:08 PM

You should be. If the ACC is the dumpster fire I suspect it is, these non

Conference losses are devastating. The “aw shucks” attitude of this fan base is delusional. And we’re talking Va Tech bball. If we’re on the bubble come marc, it will pop.

6. Speculation and no medical opinions from docs who have treated him. But

You’re going with six weeks. Strangely specific. But we’ll go with your diagnosis.

Miami is a small private school with little fan support, no stadium and

Have not been relevant in football going on a couple decades now. Not exactly a solid resume.
