CO front range if I could afford it
Spent a month in Longmont/Boulder a decade back and absolutely loved it. But even making 6 figures, it's expensive to live there. According to the locals, the area became overrun with California escapees who were used to even higher real estate prices and would pay whatever anyone asked, making the market about as bad as CA is.
Instead I will probably retire to either Georgia or Uruguay.

Happened to a kid I knew in HS in the mid 90's
He had been sleeping with the 30-ish English teacher. Word got out at prom that year, and suddenly she wasn't at school the next fall. Was never reported to the cops

If Texas or Bama win the playoff and FSU beats UGA, many AP voters will vote for FSU as champion just to stick it to the NCAA

Supposedly many of them got out of their cars and threw the keys off
the bridge. Hopefully their cars got pushed into the bay also, since they clearly decided they didn't need them anymore

And they already have a bad (probably Q4) loss that will haunt them
come Selection Sunday, though I personally don't think this team has the horses to really be in contention for a tournament spot this year anyway.
The season definitely isn't over, but right now it doesn't look good at all.

WBB losing to Iowa is disappointing but not unexpected or a big deal
MBB losing to the SEC's likely cellar dweller is very bad. Two games in and they already have a bad loss that will haunt them come Selection Sunday, plus recruiting and retention are headed the wrong direction. I can see being frustrated at the way MBB is going.
It doesn't help that football has been outright bad for several years now, so there's nothing to distract from the other failing revenue sport

But I'm thinking the hole they did themselves early this year will be too big to climb out of. Winning 2/3 down the stretch may be too much to ask for this team

I'm not prone to hyperbole, but that was one of the worst officiated
football games I've ever seen. Egregious missed calls on both sides (the phantom face mask on VT, the obvious missed grounding call on Drones, the constant spot reviews, etc).

This is what I wanted to see this year
I knew the record might still be rough, but I just wanted some evidence that the program was trending in the right direction. Today is clear proof of that. Drones throwing for over 300 yds with no INT's? Yeah I think we have a quality QB, and he's just a sophomore.
Defense finally showed some grit for an entire game. Sacks, turnovers, etc. Looked like a classic VT defense.
This team isn't a finished product this year, but the building blocks are clearly there to make VT relevant again in a couple of years if the trend continues

Drones has improved as a passer
I noticed one play in the second half he threw slightly behind a receiver running a crossing route. It was the perfect throw because the route was taking the reciever straight toward a defender, and adjusting to the pass got his momentum moving to the open spot for some nice YAC. Drones wasn't making that throw before.

You could see that he was going to block in the back for 3 seconds
before the catch. Had his mind made up to push even though he didn't need to. Also PR should have just let the ball go
