Clutch play by the Hokies IMO

Clemson was trying to drain clock and the Hokies got clutch baskets and FTs to win.

Joe Louis had come out of retirement to fight Rocky Marciano...

One time Frank Sinatra came in here and sat in this chair. I said, "Frank you hang out with Joe Louis, just between me and you, how old is Joe Louis?" You know what Frank told me, he said "Hey, Joe Louis is 137 years old." A hundred and thirty-seven years old!

"Gobble Gobble"

I heard another one where he said Ut Prosim. I like how he does that kind of thing.

Did you all see Capel slap the dry erase board….

out of the hand of what looked like a student manager as we headed to time out?

I don’t think that’s right.

I thought you could play in up to 4 games, but I think minutes played matters too.

I remember when he brought a flare gun to school because he was so...

distraught about not being able to make a lamp in shop class. Man, he has come a long way. ** Edited by Gobble Gobble at 10/28/2024, 4:02:46 PM

WADR, I disagree.

Brands' recruits all redshirted and he emptied the cupboard on his way out. Brooks spent 8 years here and built something special that included an ACC regular season and tournament championship and a Final 4. You can be upset that he left, but let's get real - he did well for VT. Brands did nothing except use the VT job to show his recruiting prowess with eyes on IA job all the while. ** Edited by Gobble Gobble at 3/28/2024, 12:48:23 PM

Awful quarter thus far. Hopefully we can right the ship before the lead…

balloons further. Need a couple stops and to calm down on O. Missing wide open 3s is one thing; missing open layups is a problem.

Was about to give this a "like" and then I opened it...

In the upper 40s in RVA. My wife complained it was too cold.

It was a little chilly on my hands in the beginning, but was about perfect after the blood started pumping.

Hmm - was on the road in maryland this week...

and a guy merges onto the highway and just keeps merging into my lane. I slowed down to keep him from just running the side of his car into mine and honked - and he flipped me off. In that case, I guess I am the confrontational Virginia driver and he is just an idiot.

I watched the Quinnipiac game.

Looked good and decent crowd. Hope the team can find some ACC success this year.

It has not really changed too much - I don't remember fries, but that may..

be my memory more than what is available. I remember some packaged snacks (chips, etc.), muffins, and the like. I would suggest bringing something with you to eat on the way. You can get cold drinks (soda, beer, etc.) in the snack car. Also, if you do business class, I think the sodas are free (at least they used to be). With all that being said, I like the generally low-stress ride I used to do regularly from Richmond to DC.

I like you Danny. How'd you like to mow my lawn?

a little off on my memory of the quote, but close enough ** Edited by Gobble Gobble at 8/15/2023, 2:34:51 PM

I’ve been thinking that as well.

At some point, this bubble bursts. Isn’t ABC/ESPN already struggling financially. Most importantly, the conferences are diluting what made them interesting in the first place, which were the rivalries. I think these new additions may create some curious interest at the outset, but I view them in a similar light as MLB interleague games. Those was intriguing at first, but the gimmick interest has waned.

Coach. About that scholarship? All the way up with a red hot poker.

I can play wherever I want. It has to be over 30 years or more since I’ve seen that movie, so might be a little off on the quote. So, yeah, I remember the movie.
