Things shouldn’t have gotten as bad as they did, that’s still on Whit, BUT

When Pry was fired, there was a 0.0% probability VT would end up hiring Mr. James Franklin. That things worked out that way is still mind blowing. When the opportunity to get Franklin suddenly presented itself, VT made the most of it and I’m sure Whit was an important player. He can now enjoy the remainder of his career (I’m guessing 3 years or less) and retire with VT football back to being a player on the national stage.

LOL, I assume you are over the age of 60.

Hoping to sneak my son into student section at Purdue game, any tips?

My son is a high school senior who is (hopefully) choosing between VT, UVA, Duke, and Penn State (he's focused on engineering). He is a huge sports fan and I obviously really want him to pick VT so I'm trying to pull out all the stops. I've got multiple tailgates lined up and even have passes into the press box but I'd really love for him to get a chance to spend some time with the students in the north end zone. This section wasn't there when I was at VT so I have no idea how they control access. Can he walk right in or will he need to sneak/be snuck in? If the latter, any tips? I really want him to get the full "student for a day" experience. I am also looking at taking him to the Duke vs. Northwestern game in Durham the following week, just to show him the difference. I'd be pretty dang proud if he got accepted to Duke, but my wallet is already puckering at the thought so I'm trying to give him every reason to pick VT instead! TIA
